Just a reminder to those who have airstrips on their properties.

In previous years we have encountered airstrips with large amounts of capeweed growing on them.  Capeweed and aircraft do not mix.

The capeweed plant is naturally slippery and if left to grow unfettered on airstrips will cause aircraft difficulties in steering and braking.

So if you have an airstrip, winter is the perfect time to get capeweed sprayed and under control.  We suggest you ask your agronomist for their advice on best control methods.
